The dispute between councillors Berman and Cook is an unfortunate yet clear ilustration of just how far off the mark our elected officials are when it comes to representing the people who turned out and voted for them.
On the one hand we have Councillor Rodney Berman. An eloquent and educated man who has clearly taken great personal issue with remarks made during council business. Remarks which according to councillor Berman, went beyond the remit of what could be reasonably termed ‘robust’ council debate.
